Aegis is a Construction Consultancy based in the midlands, UK. With an existing portfolio of clients and projects worked on, Aegis were looking for somewhere to display their portfolio and provide a basic online presence for the business.

sailfin|hosting SME hosting was used.

As Aegis already had a rough plan for the website drawn out across various sheets of paper, sailfin|development team took that plan as the basis for the site map and built up the idea of a brochure-portfolio web site from there.

The website was built using the Open-Source Drupal Content Management System (CMS) and was built around the concept of the 'project' being the central piece of content. From this project, Sailfin set up the website so that Aegis can add in new projects very easily, categorise the projects into various sectors and attach images of the buildings/locations.

The bulk of the design time was spent on setting up and configuring the image carousel used to showcase the project images. All in all the site was completed within two weeks.
